Aims
To recognise what attracts people to this area and quantify (where possible) what venues or attractions visitors have heard about prior to arrival.
To form a partnership with the Tourist Information Centre, Providers of tourist accommodation and the owners of the most iconic venues and restaurants as a consultation point for future conversations with all councils.
To ensure that for the longer term benefit of the area, tourism and the money it generates is fairly spread between business owners and the people they employ.
Objectives
To ensure that the unique qualities of the Vision-2030 Towns and Villages, the independent ‘quirky’ Retailers, the Creative Industry, and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are not only preserved to ensure continued benefit, but highlighted and better promoted.
To ensure that Service Jobs in the Tourism Industry are given recognition and reward.
We have formed a Working Group and the contact details of our members can be found below. We are very keen to hear from anyone who would be interested in taking part. We have some very large questions to tackle and would welcome enquires form people no matter your personal background or age.
